What is the Hoymiles collection?

The Hoymiles collection brings together microinverters for 1, 2, 4 or more panels, DTU gateways for Sub-1G/2.4G monitoring, single-phase and three-phase RS485 meters, and accessories (trunk/connector cables, terminations, tools). Its module-based architecture maximizes performance under shading, facilitates troubleshooting, and allows for scalable growth.

How to choose your Hoymiles solution

  • No. of panels per microinverter: 1 (HMS-1T series), 2 (HMS-2T), 4 (HMS/HMT-4T), or 8 (MIT, industrial). Adjust nominal power per input to the PV module.
  • Input voltage and current: confirm Voc and Isc of the panel under extreme conditions and ensure they do not exceed the microinverter limits.
  • Single-phase or three-phase: HMS for 1P, HMT/MIT for 3P in commercial/industrial settings.
  • Monitoring: select DTU (WLite-S, Lite-S, W100, Pro-S/4G, etc.) according to the number of devices and connectivity (WiFi/4G/Sub-1G).
  • Export control: use smart meter (DDSU666/DTSU666) with the corresponding DTU.

Best practices

  • Check Voc at minimum temperature and ensure a safety margin relative to the microinverter limit.
  • Respect maximum current per input; avoid extreme mismatch between modules connected to the same device.
  • Plan the trunk AC route, AC protections, and labeling. Implement DC protections if applicable in module strings towards optimizers/other devices.
  • Install a meter at the main panel for export control and real-time consumption data.
  • Place the DTU with good coverage; consider 4G in locations without stable Wi-Fi.
