What is the GAVE collection in photovoltaic protection?

The GAVE collection brings together boxes and protection components specifically designed for solar installations in AC and DC. It includes single-phase and three-phase AC output panels with circuit breaker and residual current device, as well as DC boxes for photovoltaic strings with disconnection and surge protection, ready to operate up to 1000 V DC depending on the model.

Advantages and limitations

  • Configurations for single or multiple strings, single-phase or three-phase, and different current ranges.
  • DC protections with disconnection, fuses/fuse holders, and SPD suitable for the PV range.

How to choose your GAVE box

  • AC side: inverter power, number of phases (1F/3F), and nominal current (typically 16–63 A). Select the RCD 30 mA and the MCB according to the required current and curve.
  • DC side: number of strings/MPPT, maximum Voc of the generator, Isc per string, and need for Type II SPD. Choose appropriate disconnection and fuses.
  • Environment: IP rating and installation space. Check cable gland entries and cable cross-section.
