What is ME Battery and what is it for?

The ME Battery collection groups sealed lead-acid batteries of 12 V in AGM and GEL technologies, ideal for off-grid solar systems, backup power (UPS), caravans, boats, and telecom. These are maintenance-free VRLA batteries, with a safety valve, low self-discharge, and good resistance to vibrations, designed for simple and safe integration.

Advantages and limitations

  • Safety and zero maintenance: sealed VRLA technology (no refilling or gases under normal use).
  • Wide range: typical capacities from 8–220 Ah to adapt bank size and autonomy.
  • AGM: lower internal resistance, good current delivery, and fast recharge.
  • GEL: better performance in deep cycle and high temperatures.
  • Limitations: lower energy density and cycle life than lithium batteries; require basic ventilation and suitable charging curves.
