Product Description

The Victron SmartShunt 2000A 50mV IP65 Bluetooth Battery Monitor is an “all-in-one” monitor without a display that uses your mobile phone or tablet as the display via Bluetooth and the VictronConnect app. It integrates a high-capacity shunt of 2000 A / 50 mV in a compact body with IP65 protection, ideal for large battery banks in marine, special vehicles, industrial, and off-grid solar systems. It accurately calculates state of charge (SOC), time remaining, voltage, current, and Ah; stores historical data and can be integrated into the Victron GX ecosystem via VE.Direct for local and remote monitoring (VRM).

Main Features

  • 2000 A / 50 mV shunt with M10 terminals for large-section cables/busbars.
  • Bluetooth connection to VictronConnect for reading, settings, and updates.
  • VE.Direct port for Cerbo GX, Venus GX, and Color Control GX.
  • Configurable auxiliary input: second battery (voltage), battery temperature, or midpoint.
  • Wide electrical range: 6.5–70 V DC; suitable for lead-acid (AGM/GEL) and LiFePO₄.
  • 46-day history with trends for V, I, SOC, and auxiliary input parameter.
  • Ultra-low self-consumption (< 1 mA) to avoid draining the battery at rest.
  • Sealed IP65 housing resistant to dust and splashes.

Advantages or Benefits

  • Clean installation: no display or front wiring; all control from your mobile device.
  • Professional measurement: current accuracy ±0.4% and voltage ±0.3% with fine resolution.
  • Capacity for large systems: supports 2000 A continuous, ideal for powerful inverters/chargers.
  • Advanced management: with GX equipment you get alarms, extended logging, and remote VRM access.
  • Auxiliary versatility: monitors starter battery, temperature, or midpoint.
  • Preventive maintenance: the history helps detect parasitic loads or imbalances.

Purpose or Applications

Designed for high-performance installations in boats, motorhomes, high-power photovoltaic systems, telecom, and industrial applications. Its compact and sealed format allows mounting near the battery bank, keeping visualization in VictronConnect or on a GX device.

Technical Specifications

Power 2000 A / 50 mV shunt (self-consumption < 1 mA)
Nominal voltage 6.5–70 V DC
Format Shunt + IP65 electronics with Bluetooth and VE.Direct

Compatibilities

Compatible with VictronConnect app (Android/iOS) via Bluetooth; integration with Victron GX via VE.Direct; straight or angled VE.Direct cables (0.3–10 m); optional temperature sensor ASS000100000; VE.Direct Bluetooth Dongle as an extender when needed.

Contents and Accessories

  • Includes: 2 cables of 1.5 m with 1 A fuse (positive and auxiliary) and 1.5 m VE.Direct cable.
  • Optional: temperature sensor, VE.Direct cables 0.3–10 m (straight/90°), VE.Direct Bluetooth Dongle.

Installation Notes

  • Install on the common negative of the bank; all loads and sources must pass through the shunt.
  • For 2000 A, use suitable busbars/strips or cables, M10 terminals, and very low-resistance connections.
  • Typical Bluetooth range 10–15 m; metal structures may reduce it.
  • Do not exceed 2000 A continuous; for peaks, confirm the thermal capacity of the assembly (conductors, fuses, busbars).

The Victron SmartShunt 2000A 50mV IP65 Bluetooth Battery Monitor is a professional solution for demanding renewable energy projects: it maximizes safety, organizes the installation, and offers absolute control of the battery bank.
