What is the Revi collection?
The Revi collection groups together electrical cables and cables specific for photovoltaics designed for safe DC and AC installations. You will find 1500 V DC solar cable (H1Z2Z2-K / PV1-F) for strings and connections in PV fields, as well as hoses and power cables 0.6/1 kV (e.g., RV-K and RZ1-K LSZH) for service entrances, panels, and indoor or outdoor conduits.
Advantages and limitations
- Outdoor durability: UV, ozone, and weather-resistant sheath on the solar cable.
- Safety: XLPE/LSZH insulation with low smoke and halogen emission (RZ1-K series) for public areas.
- Installation flexibility: class 5 copper for reduced bending radii and passage through trays or tubes.
- Legible metric marking, MC4 compatibility, and a range of colors for polarity and neutral/earth.
- Limitations: respect cross-sections, temperature, and installation method; choose the correct type (DC 1500 V vs 0.6/1 kV AC).
Applications
- Strings and DC connections in photovoltaic installations of 1500 V DC.
- AC supply and distribution with electric hose (0.6/1 kV).
- Buildings with low smoke/halogen emission requirements using halogen-free cable.
- Conduits in panels and enclosures, with suitable cable glands and terminals/connectors.
How to choose Revi cable
- Voltage and standards: H1Z2Z2-K / PV1-F for 1500 V DC (IEC 62930/EN 50618); RV-K/RZ1-K for 0.6/1 kV AC (IEC 60502).
- Cross-section (mm²): calculate by voltage drop and current (Imax), leaving thermal margin and for future expansions.
- Environment: LSZH (RZ1-K) indoors and for evacuation; UV sheath outdoors/roof.
- Color and marking: use coding for polarity (red/black DC) and PE/neutral in AC.
- Accessories: MC4 connectors, cable glands/conduits, and suitable DC/AC protections.
Indicative specifications
| Conductor | Class 5 copper (flexible) |
| Insulation | XLPE/XLPO (solar) • PVC/LSZH (power, depending on series) |
| Rated voltage | 1500 V DC (H1Z2Z2-K / PV1-F) • 0.6/1 kV AC (RV-K / RZ1-K) |
| Thermal range | -40…+90 °C in continuous service (solar) • see datasheet for power cables |
| UV resistance | High in solar cables for outdoor use |
| Standards | IEC 62930 / EN 50618 (solar) • IEC 60502 / CPR (power) |
Values are typical ranges; consult the datasheet for each reference for exact data on admissible current, bending radius, and CPR.
Best practices
- Size by voltage drop (<1.5–2.0% in DC) and ambient temperature in tray/conduit.
- Respect bending radii, connector tightening torque, and polarity in DC.
- Protect the cable with DC protections and suitable conduit (Pemsa).
